Our Method

Our method is based on the fact that dogs are bred from wolves. We use wolf pack mentality, not human mentality, to speak to dogs in their language, based on their innate understanding of the order of all things.

Most trainers focus on command work, which is important, but really, command work is only a small fraction of total dog training and obedience.
Most trainers will tell you that your dog wants to work for you and please you.

We don’t base our training on the idea that dogs want to please us. The truth is, they are just as self serving as we are. Sure, they want to please us, but really, to any dog, Its needs come first. If proper training doesn’t include outcomes that the dog likes, the dog will behave however It likes when you are not around.

Many trainers also focus entirely on leash handling skills and completely ignore the variety of other elements involved in effective training. Effective obedience training is so much more than basic command training, taping into a dog’s so called desire to please Its owner, or even leash handling.

It’s really a matter of setting your dog up for success by creating predictability for your dog through repetition and consistency, as well as positive reinforcement, and the minimal amount of humane correction when appropriate.
